I originally watched this video and thought it was cute. Then I started thinking about the potential impact on this kid’s future hockey career.
He delayed a game start with great support from the Red Wings players. (Only the evil referee worked to scoot him off the ice.) Taking the ice with the team was special. Becoming the focus of attention was even better.
Do you think this drives him to work a little harder in practice? Is this experience now stuck in his mind and he wants to play for that same team some day?
Probably too young too remember all of this. But I bet it made a difference. Look forward to seeing him in the NHL some day…
