Update on Holtby negotiations
Braden Holtby had a stellar 2014-2015 season.
He finished first in total saves (1887), second in wins and shutouts (41 and 9), and seventh in save percentage (.923).
(Note to Caps: You might want to ask Oshie to help out on defense next year for all the cabbage you are playing. Imagine their season if they didn’t have Holtby….)
Holtby also finished fourth in the Vezina voting.
And now comes the hard work of contract negotiation.
According to Alex Prewitt, the sides still have a ways to go:
On a related note, heard the Caps and Holtby's camp remain apart on money. They're in the mid-$5 million range. He's above $6 mill.
